It Really is a Small World

The day before yesterday, I decided to try out a new grocery store that recently opened up near me. This is a very large store that seemed to have everything you could possibly need, as far as groceries are concerned.

The store was big, bright, and I found everything on my shopping list. There was lots of staff around so I took time to talk with some of them including the manager. The manager was a guy in his mid to late 30s and seemed nice and intelligent. I ended up paying for my purchases and went on my way.

Last night, a few friends of mine and I went to a BBQ held at the house of another friend. There were about 25 people there, mostly guys, some girls. I knew about 10 of them, which is good because I always like to meet new people. I almost immediately recognized one of the guys there as the manager of the grocery store that I just met the day before.

He recognized me and during dinner we talked for a while. After dinner, we played a game of pool. I lost, but it was still fun...Pool is not my best sport. My aim always seems to be just a bit off. Then again, I only play in about twice a year. If I played it more, I am sure I would get better.

Later on in the evening, a bunch of us hit the hot tub on the back patio. A few guys, one girl, me, and the Manager from the store. No, we all could not fit in comfortably at the same time, I guess we had five at the most at one time. So it was like three guys in Speedos, a girl in a very small bikini, and the Manager in his baggy shorts. Later on, one other guy I did not know came in with his baggy shorts.

It is kind of funny to see the guys in their baggy shorts as they get out of the hot tub. Their shorts seem to hold a ton of water and they leave tracks everywhere they walk. the good thing is that no one had any problem with guys in Speedos and no one had any problem with guys in baggy shorts. It just did not matter. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

I'll probably see the Manager next week when I go to get more groceries. He seems to be a nice guy. Maybe I can get some extra coupons or a discount...I can always hope...
